Our Yurts are based on traditional Mongolian design and assembly methods. We include some modern materials to improve durability but maintain a focus on the beauty and intrinsic charm of these special structures.
Selected Oak and Ash from sustainable sources or locally coppiced Hazel (when available) are used for the main structure and canvas materials suited to the British Climate provide protection from hot summer days and cold winter nights.

"Broadland Yurts"
are more akin to the Mongolian "Ger" which is a slightly different construction to the Yurt.
However, the generic term of "Yurt"has become more widely used for this type of tent.
